I’m currently at JFK for an unfortunate layover, on my way to camp kesem! Something that’s always confused me about airport design is why there are there so few outlets at the gates. Why are the 3 plugs that do exist located on some random pole, miles from any seats? Is this all just to force power travelers (or poor students trying to finish the last season of firefly) to upgrade their tickets to business or first class lounges (where the plug-to-person ratio is like 3:1, so it’s not like airport designers don’t realize their importance..)?

Forget universal healthcare… I want socialization of electrical outlets.
